Monticello YMCA information and offerings
The Monticello
YMCA began offering its Youth Sports programs to Sullivan County
residents beginning in September 2007.
Monticello YMCA current
offerings:
Youth Soccer
League:
Begins November 10, in the Rutherford Elementary School gym. Games
will be scheduled on Saturdays and practice will be once a week.
It's an 8-week program for grades K-5. The purpose of this program
is to teach children the fundamental skills and drills of soccer,
including dribbling, passing, shooting, offensive and defensive
play. This program also teaches good sportsmanship, how to be a team
player and the basic rules of the game. Volunteer coaches are
needed. The cost is $35 per child. Each child will receive a metal
of recognition and a YMCA T-shirt.
Youth/Teen/Adult
Yoga Classes:
Begins Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Monticello High School, Room 109, and
meets every Tuesday and Saturday, for six weeks. The cost is $65 per
person. Every participant will receive their own free yoga mat.

School gym
YOUTH/TEEN/ADULT YOGA
October 20, and November 3, 10
a.m.–1 p.m.; and October 28, 1–3 p.m. in the Rutherford Elementary
School gym
October 22 and 23, 7-9 p.m. in the Monticello High School gym
