New Health Screening Guidelines

Please be aware that as of September 2006, the New York
State Education Department has changed the guidelines
for student health screenings as follows:

Physical examination: is required for students in grades K, 2, 4, 7, and 10,
and all new entrants. 

Vision screening: is required for students in grades, K, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10,
and all new entrants.

Hearing screening: is required for students in grades, K, 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10,
and all new entrants.

Scoliosis screening: will now be done in grades, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
