Winter weather will impact spring athletics calendar

March 27, 2017

Due to the unusually strong winter weather over the past few months, Monticello Central School District’s outdoor facilities are not expected to open until after spring break. Many other local school districts’ facilities have also been impacted by the accumulation of snow and ice. As such, the spring athletic schedules will be adjusted. Some teams will play reduced schedules this season, and varsity teams will focus on fulfilling league schedules.

While the athletic department, in conjunction with the OCIAA and Section IX will make every attempt to reschedule games to convenient times and dates, our athletic successes rely on teamwork and our coaches expect all of our athletes to ensure they are available to play these rescheduled games.

Our facilities team is working hard to clear our facilities and ensure that they are safe for play. As facilities become available, the athletics department will make every effort to open them up for games. All student athletes and their families will receive schedule changes from their respective coaches, and as always, the schedules are available online on the OCIAA website.
