Spots still available for after school yoga at RJK

Every Person Influences Children (EPIC) is pleased to offer a free after school yoga sessions for Robert J. Kaiser Middle School students.

Yoga sessions will take place on the following Thursdays immediately following the dismissal bell:

  • Grade 6 sessions: Jan. 12, Jan. 19 and Jan 26
  • Grade 7-8 sessions: Feb. 2, Feb. 11 and Feb. 23

Students will be introduced to basic individual, partner and group yoga poses, breathing and relaxation techniques and meditation and mindfulness skills. Yoga sessions will end at 3:15 p.m. Parents and/or guardians must be able to pick up their child(ren) after the session is over. Note: students who regularly participate in the Boys and Girls Club may return to their meeting room following yoga.

Students should bring a water bottle and comfortable clothing. A healthy snack will be provided, however; students with special dietary needs should bring in his/her own snack.

There is no transportation for this after school program. Any parents picking up late will cause an immediate removal of their child continuing participation.

Yoga will be taught by the Doreen Foxwell of The Children’s School of Yoga.
