MTA and Tinsel Trot organizational committee extends its thanks to Monticello community

Dec. 7, 2015

A message from John Maranzana, Organizational Chair of inaugural Tinsel Trot:

Mother Nature donned her holiday finery (which was a tank top and sunscreen) and fully cooperated with us on Saturday, Dec. 5, helping to make the Inaugural Tinsel Trot a remarkably successful event. Although she was certainly helpful, this event would have never taken place without the support and participation of so many in our school and in our community. There is a vast amount of preparation that goes into an event such as this, and so many people showed their generosity and enthusiasm by contributing through the gift of their time and/or financial support. Although it is hard to imagine, it is our hope that next year’s event will be even bigger and better! The official fundraising tally is not completed yet, but the Sullivan County federation for the Homeless and the MTA Scholarship Fund will both receive generous financial gifts because of you.

The Tinsel Trot organizational committee and the MTA would like to take this opportunity to sincerely and deeply thank everyone that was involved with the Tinsel Trot and make a wish that your holiday season be bright and joyful. See you at next year’s race!
