The deadline for the MHS Instagram contest is April 1

Monticello High School students:

Enter our #MHSPhoto Contest!

The school year may be half over but what a great adventure it has been. Pick one of your favorite photos that best summarizes your year at MHS and enter the Student Council’s #MHSPhoto Contest. All Monticello High School students are eligible to win some incredible prizes. Read through the rules below and then submit your entry before Friday, April 1.

Each photo submission costs $5. All proceeds from the #MHSPhoto Contest will benefit the MHS Student Council.

How to enter:

  • Submit your photo to mhurley@k12mcsd.net. Please include your name, class year and a caption for your photo. See Ms. Hurley in room 603 during 603 periods ½ A, 5 A/B or after school to pay submission fee.
  • Your photo will then be posted on Instagram for “likes”. Each “like” will equal one vote. Follow your photo on Instagram: hurlz.mhs.

How to win:

There are two rounds to this contest:

  • Round 1: There will be one finalist from each class. The students whose photos receive the most votes will be announced as a finalist.
  • Round 2: All four finalists will have his or her picture displayed in the 600 wing for the second round of voting. The student who receives the most votes after round 2 will have their picture matted and displayed as the MHS Photo of the Year. The winner will receive a contest refund, a gift bag of goodies and points for his or her class during Spirit Week.

Fine print:

  • The use of Instagram Bots will result in disqualification.
  • Photos must reflect a positive about MHS and cannot include a water mark.
  • Winners will be announced at the MHS Pep Rally on Friday, April 8.
