Monticello students and families may apply for passports during parent-teacher conferences

March 14, 2016

As a part of our continued efforts to create life-ready students at Monticello Central School District, on Wednesday, April 6, from 4 – 8 p.m., representatives from the United States Postal Service will be at Monticello High School to facilitate passport applications or renewals during parent-teacher conferences.

Anyone who wishes to apply or renew their passport must bring an original copy of their birth certificate, a driver’s license or other valid photo identification. You must also bring a copy of your identification and birth certificate in addition to the originals. The copy of the photo identification must show both the front and back of the identification on one sheet of paper, per State Department regulations. Photo service will be available at the event. Note that children under 16 must have both parents present in order to apply for a passport and must bring evidence of U.S. citizenship, evidence of a parental relationship, and valid photo identification.
