Local veterans visit Chase Elementary School students

Feb.18, 2016

Students at Emma C. Chase Elementary School learned an important lesson on freedom and patriotism from some special visitors who fought to defend it – veterans!

Local veterans from the Town of Wallkill VFW visited third, fourth and fifth grade students at Chase Elementary School.
In addition to freedom and patriotism, the veterans also discussed the birth of our nation, the meaning and proper care of the American flag, and shared an important anti-bullying message.

“We are thankful to our veterans not only for serving their country, but for serving as role models for the youth in our community,” Chase Principal Bill Frandino said.
