Nesin Cultural Arts’ holiday concert will be Dec. 18-19

Nesin Cultural Arts students will be presenting their Holiday Concert on Friday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m. at the Sullivan County Government Center and on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Eugene D. Nesin Theatre for the Performing Arts.

Tickets for the Dec. 19 at $10 and a musical toy for children 14 years of age and under. The audience will participate in the performance of Haydn’s “Toy Symphony”, which will be performed by the Nesin Aspiring Young Musicians (AYM) and faculty. Holiday pieces by the Nesin Chorus will be featured. The AYM students will present the “Toy Symphony”, giving the audience members a chance to play their musical toy. The dance students will present a Dance Expo and the Visual Arts Students will be displaying their work.

The chorus is directed by Amy Phillips; The Dance Director is Jen Van Etten. Laurie Kilgore directs Visual Arts and AYM is directed by Akiko Hosoi and Andrew Trombley.

Registration for the Nesin Winter Session classes in dance, visual arts and chorus will be available at both events along with a bake sale. Students may also register by calling (845) 796-3318 or by visiting www.nesinculturalarts.org.
