Chase students complete Summer Math Challenge

Oct. 8, 2015

Before they left for summer break, students from Emma C. Chase Elementary School were given an opportunity to earn free ice cream when they returned to school in September.

Children and their families were sent home with two math resources to help students get ahead and ready for the new school year.

- One option was to complete a math packet that was designed to reinforce the math topics the children had learned during the school year.

- The other option was for a parent/guardian to create a free account on a math website called Ten Marks. This personalized math program included video lessons, games and practice problem sets. When the program is completed, a report card can be printed to share with the child’s new teacher.

Any student that brought back a completed math packet or a report card that showed they had completed the program from Ten Marks, would receive ice cream to celebrate their accomplishments.

Congratulations!
