Monticello Panthers to be featured in Eddie Adams Workshop

Sept. 18, 2015

On Oct. 10, Robert Caplin, a noted editorial and corporate photographer will be taking portrait and action photographs during the Monticello vs. Poughkeepsie football game for use at the Eddie Adams Workshop.

The Eddie Adams Workshop is considered by many to be the premiere photojournalism workshop, shaping its 100 young attendees into professional and award-winning photographers over a long weekend each year in Jeffersonville, New York.

The workshop is described as an intense boot camp where budding young photographers shoot assignments and work with top photographers and editors.

Caplin, who specializes in documentary, travel, celebrities, portraiture, and events, is a regular contributor to The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and The Wall Street Journal. His photos of the Monticello Panthers will be studied by student photographers who are learning to photograph live events.

“This is a great opportunity for our school district to be a part of a unique experience,” Director of Athletics James Ryan said. “We get to be the subject of wonderful upcoming photographers and get some really excellent photos from our experiences. We look forward to, and welcome the Eddie Adams photographers coming to our football game.”

The football field will be painted Blue for panther pride on Oct. 10.
