In an effort to streamline Board of Education documents and information, Monticello Central School District has implemented an easy-to-use content management system called BoardDocs.
This system allows district officials to better communicate with staff, parents and community members, as well as fosters transparency. In addition, the Monticello Central School District is implementing a paperless electronic governance system for its regular School Board meetings, which will have a positive impact on the environment.
BoardDocs replaces the old method of compiling, printing, and distributing meeting documents to a limited audience.
Using the BoardDocs web site, the public can view and print agendas and supporting documents associated with each School Board meeting 7 days prior to the meeting.
BoardDocs allows users to review Board of Education information prior to meetings and, for the first time, learn the outcome of agenda items immediately after and action has been taken, complete with voting results. All documents are automatically archived and can be accessed by the meeting date or by using the search feature. In addition, a three year searchable archive of meeting minutes is also available.
All documents associated with meetings are automatically archived and can be searched by meeting date or by using the comprehensive search feature found within the product.
“Transparency has always been a district priority, and BoardDocs will make it even easier for residents to access Board of Education information,” said Superintendent of Schools Tammy Mangus. “BoardDocs will also ensure that information is posted and organized in a timely, concise manner. Overall, the system will benefit the district immensely.”
BoardDocs can be accessed via a link in the Board of Education section of the district’s website or by clicking here.
