Monticello CSD seeks district resident to serve as BOCES Board of Education Representative

The Monticello Central School District is seeking a community member and resident of the District to serve as the MCSD representative for the Sullivan County BOCES Board of Education. Richard Gordon, Monticello’s current representative, has resigned after serving one year of a three year term. The District is looking for an individual interested in serving the remaining two years, beginning July 1, 2015.

The Sullivan County BOCES Board of Education is made up of representatives from each of the eight school districts in the county and one at-large member. Board members each serve a three year term and meet once a month. Any eligible voter who resides within the boundaries of the District and who is eligible to hold public office may seek candidacy. District employees and Sullivan County BOCES employees are not eligible.
