Celebrating Cooke's fifth graders with DARE Graduation and Moving Up Ceremony

On June 19, the George L. Cooke School celebrated the fifth grade Moving Up Ceremony and D.A.R.E. Graduation.  The fifth graders were invited, along with their parents to the multipurpose room for a breakfast and the annual D.A.R.E graduation ceremony. 

Congratulations to these students for their award winning essays: Collin Barbato, Dakaiy Morrison, Daniel Rivera, Jack Rein, Marley Wells, Jamar Mack Jackson, Lachelle Jackson, Yaseen Elsayed, and Bairon Velasquez Osorio.

A few special guests also attend the ceremony: Sheriff Mike Schif; Chrissy Schiff, representing Congressman Chris Gibson; Luis Alverez, Retired D.A.R.E. Officer; D.A.R.E. Officer Deputy Anthony DosSantos; Officer Crumley;, Linda Cellini, representing Senator John Bonacic; and guest speaker George Cooke, Commissioner of Jurors. We would also like to thank Jane Sorensen, EPIC Program Coordinator, for ordering the balloons, cake and helping arrange the catering of the breakfast as well as set up for the 5th grade moving up ceremony.
