Throughout the year, Teacher in the Spotlight will shine the light on teachers and staff who do exceptional things
for our students and go above and beyond each and every day.

The spotlight is on Carolyn Rojas!

The final Teacher Spotlight of the year is focused on Rutherford Elementary School third grade teacher Carolyn Rojas. She has been with the Monticello Central School District for eight years.

Ms. Rojas goes
above and beyond to ensure her students are always working productively. She creates in-depth plans that are engaging, and finds creative ways of keeping her students motivated to meet their goals.

She is known at Rutherford School for being an exceptional teacher who is kindhearted. She goes out of her way to help anyone in need.

Ms. Rojas makes positive and proactive communication with students' families a top priority. Her continual outreach to families allows parents to experience life in the classroom right alongside her. These positive relationships are truly reflective in the success she is able to achieve with her students.

Ms. Rojas is upbeat and positive, always offering a smile or kind word to everyone she meets. She has a great sense of humor and is passionate about her work.

She plays a large role in the organization of the annual PBIS/Fall Festival and always makes sure the games are organized and that the children have a wonderful experience every year!

"Ms. Rojas is a wonderful educator who goes above and beyond. She participates on many committees and we're lucky to have her as part of our KLR family," said KLR Assistant Principal Doug Murphy.

Congratulations, Ms. Rojas!
