MHS to operate on modified schedule during May 19 and 20 testing

Monticello High School will operate on a “reverse” two hour delay schedule on Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20 to accommodate for NWEA testing. Students will attend periods 1 through 9 and end their school day at noon. Please read below for more details.

On Tuesday, May 19:
10th and 12th graders will be released at noon;
9th and 11th graders will stay for testing; and
Test takers will have the opportunity to take the 2 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. bus home.

On Wednesday, May 20:
9th, 11th and 12th graders will be released at noon;
10th graders will stay for testing; and
Test takers will have the opportunity to take the 2 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. bus home.

What is an NWEA assessment?
The NWEA is a research-based computerized assessment that measures growth in math and reading. Monticello High School students took the NWEA in the fall. These scores will provide a baseline measure; the May scores will demonstrate the growth a student has made this year in math and reading.
