Interact Club Zumbathon will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12

fundraiser to benefit the american heart association

February 6, 2015

Please join the Interact club for an afternoon of Zumba on Thursday, Feb. 12 from 2:15pm-4:15pm in the RJK Middle School gym. The Zumbathon will help raise money for the American Heart Association. As February is American Heart Month, we are aiming to raise money that will be used to continue scientific research for the treatment of heart disease. This money will also be used to help educate people about heart disease, the risks for heart disease and strokes, as well as ways to stay "heart healthy."

Zumba is a form of aerobic exercise mixed with low intensity and high intensity moves for an interval-style dance fitness party. The Zumbathon will be instructed by licensed/certified zumba instructors from the Fitness Factory in Monticello and Studio Ayo in Middletown.

Tickets are on sale now and will also be sold at the door. All are welcome to participate! Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Heart Association. If you are interested in buying a ticket, feel free to email Larissa Cohen at lcohen@k12mcsd.net or stop by the High School Room 110.

All participants should wear clothing that they can dance/exercise in as well as closed toed sneakers. We encourage everyone participating to wear red or pink in honor of heart month. Pump your heart up for a great cause this Valentine’s Day!
