Students use iPads to create a graphic novelMrs. Stewart and Mrs. Steich's fifth grade class are diligently working through Module 2, titled Inventions that Change People's Lives.

In Unit One, students learned about graphic novels and completed an experiment using the scientific method. They used the scientific method to decide what would be the best material to use to build a levee. Students asked themselves questions, researched the topic, developed a hypothesis, and conducted the experiment, and drew conclusions. The students used their iPads to took pictures as they completed this process. Afterwards, students worked together to develop a graphic novel using their pictures to present their findings.

“We had an awesome learning experience and were able to learn how to make a graphic novel and apply the scientific method to our learning,” said Mrs. Stewart.
