RJK Middle School presents Wizard of Oz musical

performance to take place on jan. 30 and 31 at 7 p.m. in mhs auditorium

Robert J. Kaiser Middle School will be presenting The Wizard of Oz on Friday, Jan. 30 and Saturday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. in the Arnold Packer Hughs auditorium in Monticello High School. The snow date is Sunday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. Tickets will be $5 for adults and $3 for students, and may be pre-purchased from a cast member or by calling the middle school at 796-3058.

The Wizard of Oz tells the story of little Dorothy Gale of who just like other girls her age in Kansas dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy’s imagination. Audience members will enjoy the familiar music of The Wizard of Oz, Over the Rainbow, Munchkinland (Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead), If I Only Had A Brain, If I Only Had A Heart, If I Only Had The Nerve , We’re Off To See The Wizard (Follow The Yellow Brick Road), The Jitterbug, and The Merry Old Land of Oz, and Evening Star.
