Youth Speak Out event  scheduled for Friday, Sept. 27

Monticello students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to attend a "Youth Speak Out" on Friday, September 27 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Ted Stroebele Center on 2 Jefferson Street in Monticello. The purpose of this event is to help young people identify concerns and seek solutions, and to encourage adults to listen to their struggles, interests and ideas. This event is designed to encourage stronger civic engagement and community relations in an effort to bring about positive changes.

The event is sponsored by the Monticello Interfaith Council Youth Committee and the Sullivan County NAACP. The public is invited. Food and beverages will be served.
