Monticello Teachers Association Sponsors "Meet the Candidates Night"

district residents are invited to meet boe candidates on thursday, may 1 at 6:30 p.m.

District residents are invited to meet and speak with the six board of education candidates on Thursday, May 1, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the RJK Middle School cafeteria. Residents will be asked on May 20 to elect three Board of Education members for seats currently held by Robert Bellamy, June Havas-Lombardi and Alyce Van Etten.  All seats are three-year terms.

The following candidates are running for the BOE seat currently held by Robert Bellamy:
Robert Bellamy - retired, resident of Forestburgh
John Moul - retired NYS correction officer, 21-year resident of Town of Mamakating

The following candidates are running for the BOE seat currently held by June Havas-Lombardi:
June Havas-Lombardi - 33-year educator, resident of Bethel
Scott Dorn - Director of PPS, Public Schools of Tarrytowns, 16-year resident of Rock Hill

The following candidates are running for the BOE seat currently held by Alyce Van Etten:
Alyce Van Etten - family-owned business, 30-year resident of Town of Thompson
Latisha Rodriguez - manager, internal lending specialist, 8-year resident of Monticello
