Rock Ridge band to perform on saturday, may 3 at 7 p.m. at nesin theater

April 22, 2014

Nesin Cultural Arts is pleased to announce that “The Rock Ridge Band” will be playing at the Eugene D. Nesin Theatre for the Performing Arts, 22 St. John Street, Monticello on Saturday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. The band performs modern country and is known for quality, entertaining musicianship. This concert is a fundraiser for Nesin Cultural Arts and is a way for lead singer and Monti High grad Cherylynn Scribner-Mulhern to give back to the community.

Cherylynn started to sing locally seven years ago and her warm, strong vocals pervade her performances. Surrounding herself with seasoned veterans, she created “The Rock Ridge Band,” an exciting modern country band that never fails to get the crowd going.

Lead vocalist Cherylynn Mulhern is joined by lead guitarist Matt Lamborn, rhythm guitarist and vocalist Ryan MacDaniels, bass guitarist Dennis Swauger and drummer Don Hasbrouck. The energy and excitement they bring to all their performances has been felt by audiences throughout the Hudson Valley.

“We love to perform! Music is such a vital part of our lives. No matter where we are in our lives, we all can relate with music,” said Cherylynn. “I am honored to have this opportunity to perform with my band for Nesin Cultural Arts. This is all about the journey. To come home to share my accomplishment with my local community, to bring the journey back to where it started is very important to me. Teachers that were pillars to what I have and will become are very important to me and I’m happy for this opportunity to say thank you.”

The suggested donation is $18 for adults. Students are free with an ID. Due to the anticipated response to this event, seats will be limited. It is strongly recommended that tickets be purchased online at www.nesinculturalarts.org or by calling 794-6013.
