Monticello named as one of the "Best Communities for Music Education"

March 20, 2015

For the seventh time, the Monticello Central School District has been named as one of the "Best Communities for Music Education" in America. The honor is bestowed upon school districts by the NAMM Foundation annually.

This is the 16th year NAMM has acknowledged schools and districts across the United States for their commitment and support of music education as part of the core curriculum.

The Best Community designation is a distinction worthy of provide, but it is also a call to action for local music education advocates to help preserve and potentially expand access to their current music education programs.
