MHS Chamber Singers and "Minor Details" perform benefit recital at Nesin Theater

 The Monticello High School Chamber Singers, a select choir of the high school's finest vocal students, will present a recital to benefit the “Eugene D. Nesin Memorial Scholarship” on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 7p.m. at the Nesin Theatre for the Performing Arts, 22 St. John Street, Monticello, New York. “Minor Details,” a sub-group of the Chamber Singers, will also be performing. "Minor Details" is a select group of performers, chosen by audition for their commitment and talent, which is given additional opportunities to perform in the community throughout the year. The choirs are under the direction of Mr. Peter Frost. Attendees will enjoy an evening of classical, jazz, folk and pop music, performed by Monticello High School's talented students.

The Nesin Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who is pursuing studies in the performing arts.  It also provides funding for educational programs produced by Nesin Cultural Arts.  Nesin Cultural Arts is a 501 (c) 3 Public Charity with the mission to provide opportunities in the arts for the youth of our community while enriching the lives of all ages.
