Student Council members count penniesStudents collect for Pennies for Patients

May 23, 2013

Students at the Cooke Elementary School once again showed their caring and compassionate ways by fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. All grades, K-5, participated in the program. Coin collection boxes were distributed and consequently filled to overflowing.

The students really care about finding a cure for these diseases, and this year, through the generosity of students, parents, and staff, the school was able to remit $436.14 for world-wide innovative research and assisting patient’s families with their mounting medical bills.
