December 19, 2012

Steve Mogel reads a story to studentsIn an effort to promote diversity and cultural awareness, Steve Mogel visited first graders in Sarah Galligan's class to teach the students about Hanukkah.

Mr. Mogel brought a variety of menorahs, books and driedels for the children to play with. He read them a story and then the students were able to ask him questions. Sadie Mogel, Steve's daughter, was proud and excited to have her father visit her class to share information about the traditions of her family. The children were curious about the Hanukkah celebration and showed their appreciation to Mr. Mogel by writing him thank you notes.
