MTA conducts litter pluck on Route 42

November 16, 2012

MTA members at the litter pluckIn 2011, the Monticello Teachers Association (MTA) adopted a two-mile section of Route 42, from the VEO gas station to Schoolhouse Road, in an effort to show support for the community.

On October 26, several MTA members came together with their rubber gloves and big orange bags to clean up their adopted roadway.

The community showed support for the MTA's efforts by honking when they drove passed the litter pluck. The MTA hopes to expand this project by adopting roads in outlying areas as well.
