Student essays express appreciation for teachers and staff membersTeacher Susan Galligan

May 16, 2012

In honor of Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week, held May 7-11, the Cooke-Rutherford PTO hosted a student writing project, where students wrote about why they appreciated a specific teacher or staff member. Almost 200 essays were submitted at KLR.

A gift basket was presented to First Grade Teacher Sarah Galligan, who had the most essays written about her.

Second grade teachers Susie Balfour and Jennifer DePaolo tied as runner-ups. The students' submissions are posted in the cafeteria for everyone to read and enjoy.
