March 3, 2012

More than 500 young musicians in grades 4-12 from the eight Sullivan County school districts were selected to participate. The festival gave students the opportunity to work with guest conductors from throughout the U.S.

“During the rehearsal and performance process, these exceptional students learn about musical exploration, growth, individual dedication, preparation, creativity, passion and collaboration," said festival chairman Aaron Rovitz, "This helps them develop an understanding of the cumulative process and how music affects society, cultures and environment. The concerts are a positive experience for all.”
