Students to perform at the NYSSMA Winter Conference

Monticello High School students Daniel Braunstein and Jessica Nesin were selected to perform at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Winter Conference (December 1-4). More than 7,000 student musicians throughout NY auditioned last spring to be considered for this top honor.

Jessica was selected to participate in the piano showcase - she received a score of 100 on her NYSSMA evaluation. She is a member of the MHS Orchestra, Concert Choir, Chamber Ensemble and Chamber Singers. She has studied piano with Ann Trombley for 12 years. For the past four years, Jessica attended the Mannes Conservatory Pre-College honors program.

Daniel Brausnstein was selected to participate in the All State Mixed Choir. He is a member of the MHS Orchestra, Concert Choir, Chamber Ensemble and Chamber Singers. Daniel was a member of the NY State Summer School of the Arts School of Choral Studies, where he received the Robert Campbell Scholarship for his outstanding contribution.
