The Panther Press is the Monticello High School student newspaper. Students in grades 9-12 may join the newspaper staff by enrolling in the Desktop Publishing class and/or attending meetings after school. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month after school in room 611.

The paper is published bi-monthly. Students learn to use PageMaker and Photo Shop programs. We are a small but friendly staff that works together.

Panther Press is currently seeking individuals that have strong English skills and an interest in Journalism. We also need people that can attend sporting events (as well as other extra-curricular activities) in order to write stories and take photos.

Stories are also accepted from freelance writers also but we reserve the right to edit size and content.

The Panther Press excludes no one who is interested in joining, no matter their strengths or weaknesses. You don't even have to know how to type (but it helps!)
