Duggan Elementary School Mission Statement

The mission of the Duggan Elementary School is to prepare confident, creative students who will be able to function and succeed in meeting the challenge of being life-long learners. We will accomplish this by using a relevant and challenging curriculum and by providing an academically nurturing, secure, healthy environment, which will facilitate learning.

WE BELIEVE:
  • Everyone needs a safe and healthy environment both physically and emotionally.
  • Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
  • Everyone deserves to experience success.
  • Schools need community support to provide programs that promote optimal learning.
  • Everyone needs to be responsible for his or her own actions.

Duggan staff members will do our best to:

  • Provide a quality instructional program for each student.
  • Provide a safe school environment.
  • Provide programs and activities that respond to the developmental needs of each student.
  • Help children in developing discipline, respect, and self-confidence in order to participate in our school and community as responsible members.

Duggan parents will do their best to:

  • Send their children to school each day on time, prepared with all necessary materials and well rested.
  • Check their child's work and homework on a regular basis.
  • Provide their child with suitable study conditions at home.
  • Communicate with their child's teachers when they are concerned about their child's work or health.
  • Provide cooperation and support with discipline.

Duggan students will do their best to:

  • Be in school on time.
  • Have required classroom supplies available daily at home and in school.
  • Actively participate in classroom discussions.
  • Ask questions and tell the teacher when work is not understood.
  • Do their personal best at all times.
