School Visitors

  • All parents and visitors must report to the office when they enter the building. A visitor's pass will be issued to the individual.

Field Trips

  • Field trips within our school district and to nearby points of interest are scheduled by classroom teachers. These trips are designed to supplement the classroom curriculum and to introduce students to the resources in the community. Parents will receive notice of field trips in advance of the trip date and will be asked to sign a permission form. A small amount of money may be requested from each student to defray the cost. Permission slips and money must be given to the teacher before the day of the trip.

Lost and Found

  • All items found on school grounds are placed in the lost and found, located in the school office. Students may claim them after proper identification.

  • Common sense and consideration is the best guide in determining whether or not to bring personal possessions to school. The school administration and staff are not responsible for valuables that students bring to school.

  •  It is recommended that students leave all valuables at home and have all personal items clearly labeled with the child's name on it.

  • Bus pick-ups will be approximately one to two hours later than the normal schedule.

  • Children should not arrive at school before the scheduled delayed time.

  • Make a homework kit for your supplies. Include a ruler, scissors, crayons, pencils, erasers, glue stick and paper.

  • If a project will take several days, like studying for a test or writing a book report, break the project into smaller parts and do a little each day.

  • Find a quiet place to study. Don't listen to the radio or watch television while studying.

Reading to Learn:

  • Read many different kinds of material. The more you read, the easier and more enjoyable reading will become.

  •  Read to your child every chance you have.
