Monticello High School graduates the youngest student in its history
Most people would never guess that this unassuming, baby-faced young
man, Jared Weiss, is really a super genius in disguise. At the
tender age of 14, he
will
make history at Monticello High School by beco
ming its youngest
graduate ever.
Three years ago, he began his high school experience and although
only 11-years-old at the time, he managed to complete his
studies early and continually maintain High Honor Roll status. He is
graduating number one as a
junior class member and has already
earned college level credits he will take with him on his journey to
Bard College at Simon’s Rock this fall. Although Jared is still not
certain if his major will be in science or math, this whiz kid will
have plenty of time to decide during his full academic scholarship.
AP English teacher Karen Collura, high school Principal Arleene
Siegel (pictured from left) and
many of Jared’s friends and classmates are proud to have shared time
with this amazing young man. As for Jared, he is grateful for the
support and opportunities he has been given by the teachers and
administrators in the Monticello School District.
