SPECIAL BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING
– AUGUST 2, 2005
Location: RJK Middle School Library – 5:30 P.M.
ROLL CALL A Present: Richard Feller, Eugene Nesin, John Pavese,
Robert Rosengard, Alyce VanEtten
Absent: Jacob Billig, Susan Horton, Vivian Liff,
Robert Stewart
Also Present: Eileen P. Casey, Superintendent of Schools
Dr. Patrick Michel, Assistant Superintendent
Jake Blosser, Palumbo Construction
President VanEtten called the meeting to order at 5:35 P.M.

OLD BUSINESS
C1 There was no old business.
CHANGE ORDER FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT C2a
5:0 Upon motion by Richard Feller, seconded by Robert Rosengard,
the Board of Education approved the attached change orders for
paving totaling $191,711, plus additional work at $6.65 per square
yard if additional binder mix is necessary. These change orders are
due to unforeseen site conditions.

5:0 Upon motion by Robert Rosengard, seconded by John Pavese,
the Board of Education, approved the following personnel items:
APPOINTMENT Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello
Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education
Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of
Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools,
does hereby appoint Mark Sanker to a probationary position in the
Special Subject Tenure Area – Education of Children with
Handicapping Conditions , effective September 1, 2005 to September
1, 2008, at a salary of $39,525, replacing Lisa Davis.
RESIGNATIONS Mrs. Kathryn Helms, High School Mathematics Teacher,
wishes to resign effective August 2, 2005.
Ms. Mary Lebitz, Elementary Teacher at the Cooke School, wishes to
resign effective July 27, 2005.
Mr. James Ortner, Cooke School Special Education Teacher, wishes to
resign effective August 2, 2005.
Ms. Joanne F. Richmond, Teaching Assistant at the RJK Middle School,
wishes to resign effective September 1, 2005.
Ms. Lisa Sutton-Davis, Middle School Special Education Teacher,
wishes to resign effective August 1, 2005.
CHILD CARE LEAVE Mrs. Sarah Slinsky, Middle School Special Education
Teacher requests a child care leave effective September 1, 2005 to
October 19, 2005. Mrs. Slinsky is entitled to use up to 40 days of
her accumulated sick leave for this child care leave.
CORRESPONDENCE D There was no correspondence.
