the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Super-intendent, approved the August 24, 2004 Board Minutes.
Mr. Nesin abstained.

APPOINTMENTS Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Melissa Berenato to a probation-ary position, in the Special Subject Tenure Area School Psy-chologist, effective September 20, 2004 to September 20, 2007, at a salary of $46,630, replacing Eric Franzone.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Hilary Blake to a temporary posi-tion, in the Special Subject Tenure Area Teacher of English as a Second Language,effective September 9, 2004 to March 1, 2005, at a salary of $50,624, replacing Beth Cleary. (leave of ab-sence)
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Rene Carlson to a temporary po-sition in the Elementary Tenure Area, at a salary of $43,110, re-placing Mary Nicole Wells. (leave of absence)
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Nonna Cox to a probationary po-sition in the Academic Tenure Area English, effective Septem-ber 1, 2004 to September 1, 2007, at a salary of $44,459, re-placing Mario Cerame.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Mary Kemp to a temporary posi-tion in the Academic Tenure Area Social Studies, effective September 7, 2004 to December 24, 2004, at a salary of $49,300, replacing Beth Lauri. (leave of absence)
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Andrea Knapp to a probationary appointment in the Special Subject Tenure Area School Psy-chologist, effective October 12, 2004 to October 12, 2007, at a salary of $44,692, replacing Kristen Bownas.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Re-gents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Melanie MacEwan to a probation-ary appointment in the Academic Tenure Area Science, effec-tive September 1, 2004 to September 1, 2007, at a salary of $35,199, new position.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education law and in compliance with part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Re-gents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Idwona Ramsey to a temporary position in the Special Subject Tenure Area Education of Chil-dren with Handicapping Conditions, effective September 20, 2004 to June 30, 2005, at a salary of $42,418, replacing Linda Kenny (leave of absence).
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Re-gents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Elizabeth Russett to a probation-ary position in the Academic Tenure Area Foreign Language, effective September 1, 2004 to September 1, 2007, at a salary of $38,830, replacing Maritza Rosario.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education law and in compliance with part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Re-gents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Sarah Slinsky to a probationary position in the Special Subject Tenure Area Education of Chil-dren with Handicapping Conditions, effective September 1, 2004 to September 1, 2007, at a salary of $38,790, replaciing Steven Gaffin.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education law and in compliance with part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Re-gents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Richard Vogt III to a probationary position in the Special Subject Tenure Area K-12 Health, effec-tive September 1, 2004 to September 1, 2007, at a salary of $37,234, replacing Martin Messner.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Re-gents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Jenseen Petersen to the position of Typist at a salary of $21,500* per year for 7.5 hours per day and 260 days per year, prorated, for a probationary period of not less than 8 weeks but no more than 26 weeks, with benefits as per the secretarial contract, replacing Emily Sheehan, to be ef-fective September 7, 2004. *Rate may be adjusted as per new secretarial contract when negotiations are completed.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Sharone Armstead to the position of Teacher Aide at a salary of $7.31 per hour for six hours per day and 185 days per year, prorated, for a probationary period of 60 work days with benefits as per the Teacher Aide contract, re-placing Kim Platt, to be effective September 7, 2004.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Ashley Bishop to the position of teacher aide-temporary, at a salary of $7.31 per hour for six hours per day, replacing Jeanette Taggart, to be effective Sep-tember 7, 2004 to January 28, 2005.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Cynthia Nolan to the position of teacher aide (long term replacement) at a salary of $7.50 per hour for 6.5 hours per day, Debra Walden, to be effective Sep-tember 7, 2004 to January 28, 2005.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central
School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint Joann Ruggiero to the position of temporary part time clerk in the school lunch program, at a salary of $7.25 per hour for four hours per day, to be effective August 31, 2004 thru October 29, 2004.
Resolved, that the Board of Education of the Monticello Central School District, pursuant to Section 3012 of the Education Law and in compliance with Part 30.3 of the Rules of the Board of Regents, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, does hereby appoint William Nolan to the new position of Hall Monitor at a salary of $7.31 per hour, 185 days per year, prorated, for a probationary period of 60 work days with benefits provided, to be effective September 7, 2004.
TERMINATION Mr. Thomas Blount, Cleaner, to be terminated effective August 2, 2004.
RESIGNATIONS Mr. Stephen Gaffin, Special Education Teacher, wishes to re-sign effective September 24, 2004.
Mr. Martin Messner, health Teacher, wishes to resign effective August 26, 2004.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE Ms. Debra Walden, wishes to continue her leave of absence due to medical reasons from September 7, 2004 through January 28, 2005.

the Board of Education approved the attached CSE Services.

the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Super-intendent, approved the following bid awards: Paper bid, Cafete-ria bid, Dust Mop Rental, LP Gas, Glass & Glass Replacement.
TRANSPORTATION REQUESTS D2e
3:3 Upon motion by Robert Stewart, seconded by Eugene Nesin,
the Board of Education moved to approve all transportation re-quests for private schools.

6:0 Upon motion by Alyce VanEtten, seconded by Robert Rosen-gard, the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approved the following:
Appointment of Ronald Linchner as Acting High School Principal for the purpose of student suspensions in the absence of Paula Sapphire and Arleene Siegel-Lerner.
Appointment of Christine Daniels-Acevedo as Acting Middle School Principal for the purpose of student suspensions in the absence of Deborah Wood and Alfred Heins.

6:0 Upon motion by Robert Stewart, seconded by John Pavese, the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superin-tendent, approved the attached proposed electrical change order in the amount of $21,600 to Knapp Electrical Co., and the paving to Poley Paving Corp. in the amount of $13,000.
