Fifth grade students show their dance moves at the first ever Fifth Grade Dance
On Friday, June 3, the Cooke-Rutherford PTA/PTO hosted the first ever Fifth Grade Dance in the Middle School cafeteria.
More than 180 students gathered to show off their best dance moves. A Dee Jay provided great music and both parents and teachers donated baked goods for refreshments.
According to the PTA/PTO, the night was extra special since it was the first time the entire fifth grade from all three elementary schools were able to celebrate together at a dance especially for them.
The inclusion of all students, along with the Middle School location, really created a wonderful transition event for both students and parents. The kids said they had an "awesome time," and "really liked seeing old friends again."
