World-renowned speaker visits Academy of Finance students
On
November 30, Dr. Peter Tarlow, a nationwide expert hired by
Sullivan Renaissance to assist in enhancing Sullivan County,
spoke to members of the Academy of Finance. Dr. Tarlow is a
world-renowned speaker who lectures on current and future trends
in the tourism industry, rural tourism, economic development,
and issues of crime and terrorism.
Dr. Tarlow spoke to the Academy of Finance students about the importance of volunteering and taking an active role in improving their local community. He surveyed students about issues relating to their school environment and encouraged them to take action if they had an interest in seeing positive change. He spoke to the students about giving back and explained how individuals can personally benefit by volunteering their time. The Academy of Finance would like to thank Sullivan Renaissance for making it possible for Dr. Tarlow to visit Monticello High School.
Dr. Tarlow is fluent in many languages, which enables him to
speak throughout the world (United States, Caribbean, Latin
America, Europe, Africa, the Eastern Pacific and Asia). Tarlow
publishes and writes numerous professional reports for U.S.
governmental agencies and for businesses throughout the world.
He also functions as an expert witness for the U.S. courts in
matters concerning tourism security and safety.
