On November 22, the entire fourth grade gathered together with family and friends to celebrate a "Turkey-less Thanksgiving." The multiple-purpose room was full of smiling faces, full-bellied people and decorations. MORE

Officer Phil visits Cooke Elementary School students

On October 27, Officer Phil visited Cooke Elementary School students and presented positive solutions to problems encountered within today's society. He told students about “VIP” -- or very important pals -- to help if a dangerous situation should occur. The students had fun learning about these things with Turbo the turtle. Turbo also talked about safety on the bus, on the street, in the car, and especially during Halloween. This program was sponsored by Monticello Police department and other local business.

Briana Ibanez, a fourth grade student in Kimberly Thompson’s class at the Cooke Elementary School, displayed her drawing “My Pet Bird and Me” and an informative essay at the Catskill Exotic Bird Club's 20th annual bird show on October 9.

The event was held at the Liberty Ambulance Corps Building.
